Behalf iii (2023)

 
A room opens into the street. Many voices try out for a role already set. 
 
The third chapter in artist MICHELLE SUI's Behalf series. 
 
Behalf is a multipart performance developed by MICHELLE SUI while in residency at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The first two parts––a ballet and film––explore role-playing, lip-syncing, and Oriental cinematic archetypes. The third chapter is a site-specific piece developed at Xanadu with a cast of local Berliners.
