Songs of Body is an embodied vocal technique that explores the union of voice and body as one whole. It is for singers who want to expand their range, musicality and expression in a healthy and supported manner and for non-singers who want to connect to the power and creativity of their voices in daily life and other disciplines. Students will be encouraged to explore the connection and range of motion in their voices and bodies while embracing unique idiosyncrasies, with focus on an intuitive and joyful approach to movement and singing.
Michelle has led embodied voice workshops for adults, children, performers, creatives, and individuals with no prior singing experience at centers for somatic practices and music therapy in Europe and the U.S., including University of Michigan,
Loyola Marymount University, and University of California Irvine.
She uses her Songs of Body vocal work to train actors and dancers in her ensemble and frequently leads public workshops at arts festivals and performance spaces.
